The Manitowoc County Historical Society operates a living history museum that covers 60 acres in eastern Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region. The site includes a Welcome Center with exhibits and research services as well as Pinecrest Historical Village—a collection of over 25 historic buildings furnished with items from early Manitowoc County settlers.
Pinecrest Historical Village was established in 1970 after a land donation from Hugo and Eleanor Vetting. It has grown into a representation of a small Wisconsin community from the early 1900s, featuring buildings that reflect several architectural styles found throughout Wisconsin’s history.
