Lakeshore College has been recognized as the second-ranked two-year college in Wisconsin and 26th nationally by WalletHub, a personal finance company. The ranking is based on 18 metrics, including cost and financing, education outcomes, and career outcomes. WalletHub evaluated 653 member colleges of the American Association of Community Colleges for its list.

Lakeshore College, previously known as Lakeshore Technical College, educates more than 9,000 students each year. The institution focuses on providing students with practical career skills and opportunities to begin work toward a bachelor’s degree. Faculty and staff aim to offer individualized learning experiences.
The college has received national recognition from several organizations. It was ranked #2 in the nation by Washington Monthly, #17 by Forbes, listed among the top-150 two-year colleges by the Aspen Institute, named a 2024 Bellwether Award winner, and recognized as the 2021 Large Business/Industry of the Year by the Chamber of Manitowoc County.
Each year about 800 students graduate from Lakeshore College. According to the school, associate degree graduates have a median salary of $61,355 within six months after graduation. In addition to its main campus in Cleveland, Lakeshore operates learning campuses in downtown Manitowoc and Sheboygan and offers classes at other sites throughout its district.
