The Manitowoc County Historical Society and A&W in Manitowoc are partnering for a fundraising event to support local history education. The Share Night fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, September 24, from 4 to 8 pm at the A&W location on Harbor Town Lane.

Amy Meyer, Executive Director of the Manitowoc County Historical Society, expressed gratitude for community involvement: “We are so appreciative of our local restaurants and their efforts to help us raise funds to support our mission to preserve and share our local history.”

Money raised during the event will go toward supporting the operations and educational programs of the Manitowoc County Historical Society. The organization is a private non-profit that relies on membership dues, tours, fundraising events, and donations for funding.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society operates Pinecrest Historical Village, a 60-acre living history museum in eastern Wisconsin. The site includes more than 25 historic buildings furnished with original or researched reproduction items from early settlers in Manitowoc County. Pinecrest Historical Village was established in 1970 following a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family.

More information about the society can be found at https://www.manitowoccountyhistory.org/.
