The Lakeshore Balloon Glow is set to return to downtown Manitowoc on Friday, August 15, 2025. The event will run from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will feature illuminated hot air balloons along the Manitowoc River.
The evening includes a range of activities for families, such as the Webfooters Water Ski Show, aerial dancers, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, Mischief & Magic performances, the Traveling Snake Guy, demonstrations by Lakeshore FIRST Robotics, and activities provided by the Manitowoc Public Library.
The event area spans both sides of the Manitowoc River at locations including the parking lot at 720 Quay Street and Shipbuilders Park. Food options will be available for purchase from over a dozen food trucks and vendors like the Manitowoc Lion’s Club. Beverages including beer and soda will also be sold. The night ends with a fireworks display scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
A free shuttle service will operate between 4:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., making stops every half hour at Lincoln High School JFK Field House, Roncalli High School, and Faith Church. The drop-off and pick-up zone is located on 8th Street near the Manitowoc Public Library.
