MANITOWOC, WI, July 1, 2025 – The Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is marking its 75th season by highlighting the talent developed on the lakeshore. This milestone celebrates the musicians and mentors who have contributed to the Symphony's history with a series of performances.
The season begins on Saturday, October 4 with "Sibelius & Mozart," featuring Sibelius’ second symphony and a Mozart double piano concerto performed by pianists Diana Shapiro and Stanislava Varshavski. This concert also commemorates Holy Family Conservatory’s centennial anniversary.
On December 21, the MSO presents "Noel! Bach & Handel," a holiday concert featuring former MSO Director Wayne Wildman as a guest artist and performances by the Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale under Jim and Susie Miller.
Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on February 14 with "Valentine’s Gershwin & Song." Pianist Kelleen Strutz returns to perform alongside soprano Cassie Glaeser and tenor Zachary Glaeser in arias from Carmen and Turandot.
The season concludes on April 11 with "Beloved Beethoven & Bruch," showcasing violinist Andrew Dunlap in Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. The orchestra will also begin a new cycle of Beethoven symphonies over nine years, starting with his first symphony.
All concerts are held at the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc. Season tickets are available for purchase online, while single tickets will be available from August 11, 2025.
