Historic artisans from the Midwest will gather at the Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village for the Maker's Market. The event is scheduled for June 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and June 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can engage with craftspeople selling their wares, observe heritage skills in action, and participate in hands-on activities.

The event will feature various demonstrations including blacksmithing by the Upper Midwest Blacksmith Association (UMBA), Sheldon Pewter, brain tanning, cobbling and leatherwork, rosemaled art, letterpress printmaking from Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, fraktur calligraphy, historic carpentry and woodwork, Luke’s Lost Arts - wooden shoe carving, wool & cotton spinning, loom weaving, natural fiber dyeing, bobbin lace making, quilting by Hidden Valley Farm and Woolen Mill, Spence Rigging and Canvas work, brooms by Little John, Midwest Tool Collectors Association displays, and other demonstrations including the Krueger Sawmill. The market will also highlight traditional skills of First Nations and Indigenous people.

Live music will be provided by Plymouth High School's Junge Kameraden on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon and Milwaukee-based group Frogwater on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Maker's Market is open to all ages. It includes Lowe's Little Maker's area where families can build a Lowe's Make and Take kit or partake in early 20th-century games. Food options include Rawlz Dawgz food truck on Saturday and Zorba's: Gyros, Burgers and More on Sunday.

Admission costs $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for youth aged 4-17; children under four are free. Members receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased at the venue or reserved online at ManitowocCountyHistory.org.

The program receives support from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts., Fricke Printing Service, Seehafer News, and Bank First.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located in Eastern Wisconsin’s Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside.
