Two students from Lakeshore College have earned top honors at the SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills state conference held in Madison, securing their places at the national SkillsUSA Championships in Atlanta from June 23-27. Autumn Robley and Johnathon DeBruin, both graduates of the precision machining technology program, will represent their college at this prestigious event.
Robley excelled in the Precision Machining Technology competition. She is continuing her education in Lakeshore’s CNC automation technician program. DeBruin led the CNC 2-Axis Turning Specialist competition and is also pursuing further studies in the same program.
“Autumn’s and Johnathon’s success is a result of the expertise they’ve developed through hard work and the quality of their technical education. They are carrying on the tradition of Lakeshore students excelling at SkillsUSA competitions,” stated Mark Lorier, Lakeshore machining instructor and SkillsUSA advisor, who will accompany them to Atlanta.
