Lakeshore College is set to host two summer camps aimed at providing middle and high school students with exposure to careers in demand. The camps will be conducted at the college's Cleveland campus.
The Coding & Cyber Camp is scheduled for June 16-18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a lunch and open house on June 19, from noon to 1 p.m., for participants and their families. This interactive camp is free of charge and is available to high school students.
Another offering, the FABLABulous College Exploration Camp, will run from June 16-19, between 9 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. This camp targets students aged 11-13 who will have the chance to engage in activities such as robotics, 3D printing, laser cutting, and mechanical design.
Lakeshore College provides education for over 9,000 students annually. The institution focuses on equipping students with practical career skills while also supporting those pursuing bachelor's degrees. It has received national recognition, including rankings by Washington Monthly (#2), Forbes (#17), WalletHub.com (#20), and was named a top-150 two-year college by the Aspen Institute. Additionally, it was awarded the Bellwether Award in 2024 and recognized as the Large Business/Industry of the Year by the Chamber of Manitowoc County in 2021.
Approximately 800 students graduate from Lakeshore each year, with associate degree graduates reporting a median salary of $61,355 within six months post-graduation. The college operates additional campuses in downtown Manitowoc and downtown Sheboygan and offers classes throughout the district.
