Those interested in pursuing a career in nursing or teaching can attend information sessions for the FORWARD program, a collaboration between Lakeshore College and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. This initiative allows students to begin their education in these fields starting this fall while staying close to home.
Information sessions are scheduled as follows: May 19 from 6-7 p.m. at UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus; May 21 from 4-5 p.m. at Lakeshore College, Center for Health Care Excellence; June 10 from 9-10 a.m. at UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus; and June 18 from 6-7 p.m. virtually.
The sessions will cover an overview of the FORWARD program, curriculum details, learning options, course locations, financial aid possibilities, and tours.
The FORWARD program offers students the opportunity to save money by starting with an associate degree in nursing or foundations of teacher education at Lakeshore before transitioning seamlessly to complete their bachelor's degree at UW–Green Bay.
FORWARD emphasizes local learning with courses available at UW–Green Bay's Sheboygan campus, Lakeshore’s Center for Health Care Excellence in Cleveland, or online.
