Lakeshore College prepares for spring graduation ceremony on May 10

Lakeshore College in Cleveland, Wisconsin, is preparing to celebrate its spring graduation on Saturday, May 10. Nearly 300 students will complete their educational journeys at the college's Cleveland campus.

The college will award almost 450 credentials, including associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates. More than 100 Registered Apprenticeships, General Education Development (GED) certificates, and High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSEDs) will also be conferred.

Dr. Paul Carlsen, President of Lakeshore College, stated: “We are proud of the achievements each student has made throughout their educational journey at Lakeshore College. Our faculty and staff look forward to the impact they will make in our communities and beyond. This is the ripple effect of their success and the quality education they have received.”

Lakeshore's graduation ceremony is designed as a family-friendly event with flexible attendance options for students and their supporters. Each academic area has a designated timeframe for degree conferral:

- Health and Public Safety: 9-10 a.m.

- Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Automotive, and Registered Apprentices: 10-10:45 a.m.

- Break: 10:45-11 a.m.

- Business, Education, Culinary, and General Studies: 11 am-noon

- GED/HSED: Noon-12:30 p.m.

Students and guests can visit the campus from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with all buildings open during this period. A pop-up store selling Lakeshore College merchandise will be available in the Lakeshore building.

Lakeshore College educates over 9,000 students annually across various campuses in Cleveland, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and other district sites. The college offers real-world career skills training alongside opportunities to pursue bachelor's degrees.

Recognized nationally as a leading two-year college by several organizations including Washington Monthly and Forbes, Lakeshore reports that associate degree graduates earn a median salary of $61,355 within six months post-graduation.
