The Forst Inn Arts Collective in Tisch Mills will present Amy Herzog's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's classic drama "A Doll’s House." The performances are scheduled from April 26 to May 11 at The Forst Inn. Herzog's version of the well-known play aims to modernize the dialogue while maintaining key themes such as gender roles, identity, and personal freedom.

Herzog's adaptation premiered on Broadway in 2023 and focuses on making the language contemporary and accessible. This approach is intended to enable the emotional struggles of the characters to resonate with modern audiences. By simplifying the dialogue yet preserving its intensity, this version seeks to provide a fresh perspective on Ibsen's timeless narrative.

Directed by Kevin James Sievert, the production features Aubrey Duncan in the lead role of Nora. The cast includes Carrie Counihan, Ross Dippel, Phillip Lotto, Corey McElroy, and Sara Schaller. The production team consists of Shannon Paige as Stage Manager, Phillip Jindra handling Lighting, Em Schaller in charge of Costumes, with Karter Mueller and Asher Stokes responsible for Properties, and Lisa Heili contributing to Scenic Painting.

The Forst Inn Arts Collective is known for hosting theater and music events in the historic spaces of The Forst Inn. Each year, the organization holds ten mainstage theatrical productions along with several smaller shows. The venue also features informal musical performances before most theater events and hosts several ticketed mainstage music events throughout the year.

Located at E2910 County Road BB in Tisch Mills, WI, The Forst Inn is accessible within a thirty-minute drive or less from Green Bay, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc. Additional information is available at www.forstinn.org.
