Manitowoc Public Library in Wisconsin is set to offer various events and activities as part of their May 2025 children's programs. The lineup includes creative contests, storytime sessions, workshops, and family activities, aimed at engaging children and families throughout the community.

A highlight of the program is the "Comic Book Day 2025 Bookmark Art Contest," which invites artists of all ages to design unique bookmarks. Participants have until May 1 to submit their designs, which will be displayed during Comic Book Day on May 3. The contest will be followed by a voting process, with winners in several age categories receiving prizes.

In addition to the contest, weekly "Baby Storytime" and "Preschool Storytime" sessions are planned every Wednesday and Thursday. Both programs welcome children and their siblings, providing a space for stories, songs, and interactive play.

Comic Book Day on May 3 promises to be engaging, celebrating the 75th anniversary of Charles Schulz’s "Peanuts." The event includes a comic book giveaway, scavenger hunt, costume contest, and more. Notably, cartoonist Justin Thompson will conduct a virtual workshop as part of the day's activities.

The library will also host "Family Activity Nights" (FANs) on Tuesday evenings, featuring activities like "Spring Into Wellness Family Yoga" on May 6 and "What's the Buzz?" on May 20, an engaging program about honeybees.

Other activities include a "Drop-In Chess Club" on May 7 and "Read to Certified Therapy Dogs" on May 13, where young readers can sign up for one-on-one reading sessions with therapy dogs.

Lastly, "Messy Marvins," a baby art studio morning, is scheduled for May 16, offering an opportunity for creative expression for the youngest visitors.

Manitowoc Public Library aims to provide a variety of inclusive and educational programs for children and families in the region throughout May.
