As football fans make their way to Green Bay for the upcoming draft, the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc is preparing to welcome visitors with a range of activities celebrating Wisconsin agriculture. Sponsored by Gather Wisconsin, the center will host cheese-themed activities and events from April 22 to April 26, operating daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests will have the opportunity to embark on self-guided tours of the center, witness the birth of a cow, interact with piglets, and participate in cheese-themed activities, such as a blind cheese taste test featuring cheddar varieties. Local cheeses and Wisconsin-made souvenirs will be available for purchase at the center's Farm House Store.
In addition, on Friday and Saturday, visitors can join a behind-the-scenes tour of a local family-owned dairy farm. Conducted by Farm Wisconsin guides, these bus tours offer insights into the daily operations of a working dairy farm. Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis at 11 a.m., with an additional charge of $5 per person.
Interactions with piglets are available throughout the week, and participants can enjoy these activities as part of the general admission ticket. Tickets for the event can be purchased online or at the reception desk.
The Farm Wisconsin café will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, offering farm-to-table breakfast and lunch options from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
