The Manitowoc County Historical Society is organizing its annual spring clean-up event scheduled for April 22 and 23, between 10 AM and 2 PM. This event is part of the preparation for its spring and summer season opening in May. Cleaning supplies will be available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Snacks will be offered throughout the day.

While the focus is on the spring clean-up, the Historical Society invites volunteers to assist with maintaining the historic structures during the summer season as well. "Join as a volunteer each week or for a few hours each month and help make the buildings shine," the Society announced.

Potential volunteers can register by calling (920) 684-4445 or through email at GuestServices@ManitowocCountyHistory.org. Volunteers are asked to check-in at the McAllister House Welcome Center for their cleaning tasks.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located in the Ice Age Kettle Moraine area of Eastern Wisconsin and serves as a museum of living history. Spanning 60 acres, it features the Pinecrest Historical Village, home to over 25 historic buildings representing a small Wisconsin community from the early 1900s. The Village's buildings exhibit various architectural styles present in Wisconsin's history and are furnished with either original pieces or well-researched reproductions.

Those seeking additional information about the Historical Society can contact the museum directly or visit their website.
