The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village will host a Winter Weekend event centered around fiber arts on March 15, from 11 am to 3 pm. The event offers activities such as exploring historic buildings, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and sledding.

Visitors can participate in making a community quilt at the Dress Shop, watch weaving and spinning demonstrations at Two Creeks Town Hall, or join a Knit In at the Sorenson parlor. All activities are included with general admission. Admission fees are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors aged 62 and over, $10 for children aged 4 to 17, while children under age 4 enter free. Members of the Manitowoc County Historical Society receive free admission.

Additionally, a wool spinning workshop will be part of the Create-Connect heritage skills series from Noon to 3 pm. Participants will learn wool spinning basics using a drop spindle and take home their spun yarn. Advanced registration is required for this workshop, which includes all necessary supplies and general admission for the day.

Winter Weekends are supported by Bank First and Seehafer News. For more information about this event or other programs offered by the Manitowoc County Historical Society, contact (920) 684-4445 or visit ManitowocCountyHistory.org.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located in Eastern Wisconsin's Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside. It features a Welcome Center with local history exhibits and research services alongside Pinecrest Historical Village—a collection of over 25 historic buildings representing early 1900s Wisconsin communities.

Pinecrest Historical Village began in 1970 with land donated by the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. The village showcases various architectural styles from Wisconsin's history through original pieces or researched reproductions used by interpreters.
