The Chamber of Manitowoc County issued the following announcement on May 17.

Kylie Mallmann and Zachary Zdziarski are the recipients of UnitedOne Credit Union’s two $1,000 scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year.

Mallmann, a Sheboygan native, is a forensic anthropology major at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her goal is to work for the F.B.I. one day.

“UnitedOne has always supported my needs in teaching me how to better manage my finances,” Kylie said, “and I could not have learned as much as I did about money if it wasn’t for this company growing up.”

Zdziarski is a senior at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and study psychology.

“It means a lot,” Zach said. “It’s such a great organization. UnitedOne offers so many unique services, and I’m just so proud to be able to be a recipient of this.”

Each year, UnitedOne offers one scholarship to a Manitowoc County resident and one to a Sheboygan County resident. Mallmann and Zdziarski were chosen by an independent panel, which judged applicants based on a written essay.

UnitedOne Credit Union has branches in Manitowoc and Sheboygan, and is open to everyone living or working in Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Kewaunee and Door counties. The credit union serves consumers and small to mid-sized businesses. For more information, visit www.UnitedOne.org.
