Manitowoc County ranked 32nd in Wisconsin for resident earnings in 2019

Manitowoc County ranked 32nd among counties in Wisconsin by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Manitowoc County residents was $30,838 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 34,563 households with a population of 79,185.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Waukesha County with $41,242 per year after adjusting for inflation – $10,404 more than Manitowoc County. It had 158,808 households with a population of 400,475.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Ashland County with $23,772 per year after adjusting for inflation – $7,066 less than Manitowoc County. It had 6,565 households with a population of 15,617.
