The Wisconsin Historical Society will be touring a new traveling exhibit, “We Stand on their Shoulders”, which celebrates the history of Wisconsin women and voting. The traveling exhibit will be on display at the Manitowoc County Historical Society from September 15th-27th.
The exhibit explores women’s suffrage and leadership after the ratification of the 19th Amendment. The exhibit also explores the landmark legislation, political advancement of women from 1920 to 1982 and broadened opportunities for women of all races to vote.
