Sheboygan, Wisconsin – Rebuilding Together – Sheboygan County (RTSC) has received a $10,000 donation from Johnsonville as part of the company's annual Member Giving Drive. The initiative allows Johnsonville members to nominate local nonprofits for donations made on their behalf.

Bob Wells, President of the Board of Directors at RTSC, expressed gratitude for the contribution: “All of us at Rebuilding Together - Sheboygan County are grateful for this generous donation from Johnsonville’s Giving Drive team,” he said. “I want Johnsonville to know the impact of these dollars will soon be felt by homeowners whose applications for our help have already been approved.”

RTSC is an all-volunteer nonprofit that has provided free home repairs to qualified homeowners since 1998. In 2024, with support from sponsors and volunteers, RTSC repaired 20 homes. Wells noted that each year they aim to assist more people: “As each new year begins we aim to help more people than we could the last. Johnsonville’s generous donation will go a long way in helping us reach that goal.”

KaytLynn Riel, Vice President of Marketing and Sponsorship and a board member at RTSC, commented on her employer's community involvement: "Since joining the company in 2022, I've been proud of how Johnsonville supports non-profits in our community. It feels great knowing that my employer supports me in my passion for making a difference by serving on the Rebuilding Board."

Before the COVID pandemic, RTSC organized “National Rebuilding Day” every April with financial support from area partners. This event brought together over a hundred volunteers to work on several homes in one day. Currently, repairs are done throughout the year based on project needs and available resources.

RTSC's approach involves volunteers supported by skilled tradespeople and project managers who address unsafe housing conditions like sickness and injury.
