The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village are set to host a 'Victorian Romance' themed program on February 15. The event will take place from 11 am to 3 pm at the museum's location on Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc. Visitors can explore historic buildings, engage in winter activities such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or sledding.

Highlights of the program include presentations on Victorian fashion undergarments scheduled for 11:30 am and 2 pm. Attendees can also experience an old-fashioned sleigh rally featuring antique horse-drawn sleighs competing in various categories at 1 pm, weather permitting. Additionally, blacksmiths will be showcasing their trade during the event.

Admission fees are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors aged 62 and above, $10 for children between ages 4 to 17, with free entry for children under age four. Members of the Manitowoc County Historical Society (MCHS) receive free general admission.

Workshops offered during the program include a Valentine's Day Blacksmith Hearts workshop (already sold out) and a Victorian Era Decorative Boxes class from noon to 3 pm. Participants in the box workshop will create decorative boxes with themes related to winter or romance. Workshop fees cover general admission costs as well.

Themed winter weekends continue with another event focusing on fiber arts scheduled for March 15. These events are partially supported by Seehafer News.
