The Class of 2024 Hall of Fame inductees have been announced, recognizing individuals for their significant contributions in various fields including academics, sports, arts, and community service.
Tim Hatfield has been honored as the Big East Coach of the Year and has received recognition from the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association for his 30 years of service. Josh Mulloy, a member of the Class of 2009, is a two-time Cross Country State Champion and Boys Track 3200m State Champion. Nate Pomeday from the Class of 1995 holds multiple accolades in Boys Basketball, including being a four-time All-Conference player, single-game scoring record holder, and member of the 1,000 Point Club.
Lloyd TerMaat from the Class of 1961 is recognized for his decades-long commitment to helping underprivileged families in urban areas. Eric Teunissen from the Class of 1998 has been celebrated for his achievements in Boys Track as an 800m and two-time 4x800m Relay State Champion.
Additionally, the 1977 Girls Track Team is being honored as State Runner-Up. The team included Coach Rich Miesfield along with Sally (Smies) Obbink, Jennifer Thompson, Gail Otte, Laurel (O’Connell) Bear, Gail (Prinsen) Huibretgse, Lynn Ardisana, Ann Lemmenes, Wendy (Kappus) Pierron, Julie (Kappus) Prom, Peggy Baumgartner, Brenda (Jentink) Ede and Sandra (Kaland) Sandee.
"We are thrilled to honor this exceptional group of people who have made significant contributions in academics, sports, arts and community service! Congratulations!" said a spokesperson for the Hall of Fame committee.
The celebrations will commence with a special tribute during the home football game on Friday, September 20th. Festivities will continue on Saturday with a Hall of Fame Banquet and Recognition Ceremony where each new member will receive a plaque to be added to the esteemed "Wall of Fame."
