Dr. Elizabeth Freeman has recently been appointed as the new Superintendent of the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District. Her arrival has been met with excitement and anticipation as she brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles.

Prior to her appointment in Cedar Grove-Belgium, Dr. Freeman served as the Chief Academic Officer and Director of Professional Development and Programs at Community Unit School District 300 in Algonquin, IL. Her educational background includes a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Educational Leadership from Loyola University, a Master of Education from National Louis University, and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Northern Illinois University.
In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Freeman is also recognized as an accomplished author. Her publications delve into various educational topics such as mindfulness, innovation, and professional learning communities.
