Lakeshore Technical College issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
Courtney (Pelot) Hansen and Tyler Freitag coming from Manitowoc have joined Lakeshore Technical College’s marketing department in roles developed to foster existing relationships and build new partnerships.
Hansen is the social media coordinator. She focuses on using social media platforms to build awareness of the college and advocate for students. She works closely with current business and education partners while seeking new opportunities to collaborate with others in identifying creative ways to support and build the local workforce. Hansen has also been appointed to LTC’s strategic enrollment recruitment committee.
Freitag, and LTC graduate, fills the new role of marketing coordinator. He supports the marketing department and the college’s Workforce Solutions division, which is the arm of the college offering training and assessment services for existing workers in a wide variety of areas ranging from advanced manufacturing to leadership. Freitag has also been appointed to LTC’s strategic enrollment economic development committee.
“Bringing Courtney and Tyler on board will allow us to enrich relationships with our partners in business and education, especially in the northern part of our district,” said LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “We are impressed with their history of supporting the needs of our community, especially within Manitowoc County and are excited they chose to join our team.”
LTC is actively involved in many local organizations with board or committee representation on several, including Progress Lakeshore, the Chamber of Manitowoc County, United Way Manitowoc, Two Rivers Business Association, Farm Wisconsin, and others. In their new roles, Hansen and Freitag will be connecting with these organizations and more.
