Cost of college went up for all students at Lakeland University

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Lakeland University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin students paid $28,870 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,110 more than the $27,760 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 174 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.3 million and 173 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,497), 1,284 students used grants or scholarships totaling $13 million, and 1,445 students took out $9.7 million in federal student loans.
