Senator Eric Wimberger, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district since 2025, has recently used his social media platform to address several state and national issues. His posts include commentary on the allocation of funds for hunting and fishing projects, a remembrance of the September 11 attacks, and a call to action regarding veterans' homeless shelters.

On September 9, 2025, Wimberger highlighted concerns about the state's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) spending: "Wisconsin is a world-class destination for hunting and fishing. But a recent audit I ordered as Audit Committee co-chair revealed that the DNR is spending less from its user-funded Fish and Wildlife Account on projects that primarily benefit hunters and anglers."

Two days later, on September 11, he marked the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the United States by stating: "We pause today to remember the 2,977 men and women tragically lost in the September 11, 2001 terorrist attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. May we never forget the victims and their memory."

Also on September 11, Wimberger addressed Governor Tony Evers regarding funding for veterans' services: "Yesterday, I called on Governor Tony Evers to use funds he already controls to stop his planned closure of two veterans' homeless shelters in Green Bay and Chippewa Falls. The bipartisan budget Governor Evers signed into law funds the Veterans Housing and Recovery Program at"

Wimberger assumed office after being elected in 2025 to represent Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district. He succeeded Robert Cowles as part of this transition.
