Shae Sortwell, a Republican elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2019 representing the state's 2nd House district, posted a series of tweets on September 10, 2025 addressing issues related to urban violence and criminal justice.

In his first tweet at 01:52 UTC, Sortwell commented on an incident involving a survivor of war who later died in a U.S. city. He wrote, "She survived a war torn country but couldn't survive a democrat run city".

Later that day at 14:47 UTC, Sortwell replied to another post with an emphatic endorsement by stating, "100% https://t.co/VxaqwrYoFt".

In his third tweet at 19:41 UTC, he addressed Utah's capital punishment laws in response to another user. The post read, "Utah has the death penalty, you son of a...".

Sortwell has served as state representative since replacing André Jacque in Wisconsin's legislature. His recent online activity reflects ongoing debates over crime and policy responses in American cities.
