Lakeland University and the City of Neenah’s Committee on Aging will hold the annual “School for Seniors” event on Friday, October 3. The event is set to take place at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Neenah, beginning at 8:45 a.m., and is open to residents of Neenah and surrounding communities at no cost.

The “School for Seniors” has been offered each year since 2016, providing older adults with informational sessions tailored to their interests and needs. This year’s event will include three information sessions, along with light refreshments and opportunities for attendees to win door prizes.

Joshua Kutney, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lakeland University as well as current chair of the Neenah Committee on Aging, has coordinated the program together with other committee members. Kutney said, “Interest continues to grow in the School for Seniors event, and we welcome the opportunity to present these offerings again in 2025.”

Space is limited for those wishing to attend. Participants are encouraged to reserve a spot by calling the City of Neenah or filling out an RSVP form online at https://www.ci.neenah.wi.us/departments/community-development/.

The Committee on Aging focuses on identifying and meeting the needs of older adults in Neenah. For more information or questions about participation, community members can contact the Neenah Department of Community Development.
