Senator Eric Wimberger highlights historic school funding and local industry initiatives

Senator Eric Wimberger, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district since 2025, has recently highlighted key state initiatives and local developments through his social media posts.

On August 24, 2025, Wimberger announced the scale of educational funding in the new state budget: "As students and teachers head back to classroom, our new State Budget gives schools the biggest biennial K-12 funding increase in state history. The largest investment in special education in state history $37.3 million to fund our reading reforms and address the literacy".

The following day, on August 25, 2025, he promoted an annual manufacturing contest: "Applications for @WisconsinMC's Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest are now open! Wisconsin's manufacturing industry employs 1 out of 6 people in the state. From Harley-Davidson motorcycles to beer and cheese, we make some pretty neat stuff. If you know of or work for a".

On August 26, 2025, Wimberger commented on technical education infrastructure: "Great to see @FoxValleyTech's new dental lab expansion, which will help train Northeast Wisconsin dental hygienists and assistants for years to come."

Wimberger assumed office after being elected in 2025 to replace Robert Cowles as senator for Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district.
