Senator Eric Wimberger, who represents Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district, recently used his social media platform to highlight upcoming community events and legislative initiatives. Wimberger, a Republican elected in 2025 to succeed Robert Cowles, shared updates between July 31 and August 2 regarding local activities and state efforts on infrastructure.

On July 31, Wimberger encouraged families to participate in an annual event hosted by the state's NFL team: "Packers Family Night is coming up this weekend! Be sure to secure your tickets for a night of fun for the whole family."

The following day, he addressed clean water funding challenges faced by communities in Wisconsin. In his post dated August 1, Wimberger stated: "Helping more communities access low-cost loans for clean water is one initiative I was proud to lead during the budget process.

Faced with aging infrastructure and emerging contaminants like PFAS, communities applied for nearly $90 million more than was available.

On August 2, Wimberger promoted another community gathering organized nationwide by law enforcement agencies: "National Night Out is an annual community celebration hosted by local police departments across America. Don't miss your chance for family fun this Tuesday night!

Check with your local law enforcement to find a National Night Out event near you."

Wimberger's recent posts reflect both his involvement in promoting civic engagement through events like Packers Family Night and National Night Out as well as his legislative work addressing issues such as aging water infrastructure and contamination from chemicals like PFAS. As the newly elected senator representing Wisconsin's 2nd district since 2025—a seat previously held by Robert Cowles—Wimberger has positioned himself at the intersection of community advocacy and policy leadership.
