The Lakeland University Board of Trustees has honored Bob Loffredo, a retiring member, by naming him Trustee Emeritus. This recognition comes after his long-standing dedication and service to the university.
Loffredo's contributions to Lakeland have been varied. He served as a trustee for over ten years and was a regular participant in the annual Blaster’s Golf Tournament. His support extended to offering guidance to numerous employees at the university.
In 1982, Loffredo was inducted into the Lakeland Athletic Hall of Fame due to his achievements as a football player during his time at the university.
“Bob is the consummate Muskie,” said Lakeland President Beth Borgen. “We can always count on Bob for sage advice and the unwavering support he has shown his alma mater for more than five decades.”
After graduating from Lakeland with a bachelor's degree, Loffredo pursued further education at the University of Illinois, where he earned a master's degree in education administration. His career spanned over 40 years at Snap-on Tools, culminating in his role as vice president for U.S. industrial sales. He also worked in education as a teacher, assistant elementary principal, and football coach in Kewaunee, Illinois.
Loffredo resides in Saratoga Springs, New York, with his wife Carole McKinney, who is also an alumna of Lakeland University.
