Car show | The Chamber of Manitowoc County
The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village will host a car show and vintage-themed activities on Saturday, July 26. The event, called Mid Summer Meltdown, is scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm at the museum located at 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc.
Attendees can enjoy Cedar Crest ice cream while viewing traditional pre-1966 hot rods, customs, stock cars, trucks, motorcycles, and a vintage fire engine exhibit. Rockabilly music will be played throughout the historic Pinecrest Village. Admission is $10 per person.
Cars will begin entering the village at 10 am. Visitors interested in seeing the vehicles are advised to arrive around 11 am. Those bringing vehicles for the show should look for workers with aprons at the main gate entrance. Entry fee for cars is $10, which includes all occupants. Volunteers will assist in parking vehicles around the village.
Food and beverages will be available on-site from Nina’s Pita Hut food truck. In addition to historic structures and custom vehicles, there will be music and more activities. A mid-century fashion style show is scheduled for 11 am, followed by live music from The Dirty Martinis Rockabilly Band from noon to 2 pm.
A Jell-o contest invites participants to showcase their creations by 1:30 pm at Meeme House dining room with judging and ribbons awarded at 2 pm.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located in Eastern Wisconsin's Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside. It features a living history museum with over 25 historic buildings furnished with period items from early settlers of Manitowoc County.
Pinecrest Historical Village began in 1970 through a land donation from Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. It represents a small Wisconsin community from the early 1900s with various architectural styles.
