The Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival is set to return to Manitowoc's Red Arrow Park and Beach on July 19-20, 2025. This annual event, now in its third year, is presented by Fox Communities Credit Union and draws thousands of visitors. The festival features a semi-pro sand sculpting competition, an amateur competition, vendor booths, live performances, and food trucks.

The festival will commence at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Six semi-pro sand sculptors will begin working on their sculptures. Attendees can observe the sculptors and interact with them throughout the weekend. On Sunday, visitors have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice award. The Amateur Sand Sculpting State Championships also start at 10 a.m. on Saturday and are open to individuals and teams.

For the first time, entry to the event is free due to sponsorships that cover expenses. However, donations will be accepted by Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary to support community projects.

More information about the event schedule and participation details can be found at www.visitmanitowoc.com/wssf.

Visit Manitowoc and Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary organize this festival with support from The Sand Lovers LLC and various sponsors including Fox Communities Credit Union, TDS Telecom, Tietz’s Piggly Wiggly, Eck Industries, Festival Foods, Lakeshore College, Prevea/HSHS, Vinton Construction, Seehafer News, Knights of Columbus among others.
