The Manitowoc County Historical Society and A&W in Manitowoc are collaborating for a Share Night fundraiser on June 25. The event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at A&W located at 4141 Harbor Town Lane. The goal is to raise funds and awareness for local history education at the Pinecrest Historical Village.

Amy Meyer, Executive Director of the Manitowoc County Historical Society, expressed gratitude for the support from local restaurants: “We are so appreciative of our local restaurants and their efforts to help us raise funds to support our mission to preserve and share our local history.”

Proceeds from the fundraiser will aid in supporting the operations and educational programs of the historical society. The organization relies entirely on membership dues, tours, fundraising events, and donations as it operates as a private non-profit entity.

For those seeking further details about the Manitowoc County Historical Society, information is available at ManitowocCountyHistory.org.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society serves as a living history museum situated in Eastern Wisconsin's Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside. It encompasses a 60-acre area featuring a Welcome Center with exhibits and research services, along with the Pinecrest Historical Village—an assemblage of over 25 historic buildings furnished to reflect early settler life in Manitowoc County.

Pinecrest Historical Village originated in 1970 through land donated by Hugo and Eleanor Vetting. It has evolved into a representation of an early 1900s Wisconsin community, showcasing various architectural styles significant to Wisconsin's history. Furnishings within these buildings are either original or meticulously researched reproductions used by interpreters at Pinecrest Village.

To contact the museum directly for more information, call (920) 684-4445 or visit ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
