Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital has allocated $30,000 to six nonprofits in Manitowoc County through its Community Grant Program. The initiative, launched in July 2024, aims to bolster community health by supporting collaborative and evidence-based projects that address the county's key health priorities.
The selected organizations benefiting from this inaugural grant are The Haven, Lakeshore Community Health Care, Salvation Army, Lakeshore Community Action Program, Grow It Forward, and Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center. Each will receive a portion of the funds to enhance health and well-being initiatives for local residents.
Applications for the grants are assessed by the Froedtert Hospital Memorial Hospital Community Grant Program Committee. This committee consists of community leaders and members from the Froedtert & MCW health network. The next opportunity to apply for funding is scheduled between August 11 and September 11, 2025. Further details and application forms can be accessed at hfmhealth.org/community-grant-program.
The committee's focus is on backing organizations that tackle social determinants of health as outlined in Froedtert Hospital Memorial Hospital’s Community Health Improvement Plan.
