Hope House of Manitowoc County is marking 20 years of aiding homeless families. The organization began in 2005 as a rotating shelter hosted by various churches before settling for several years at St Boniface Church. In 2017, the Board opted to establish a permanent location at 1000 South 35th Street, Manitowoc.

The facility accommodates 35 individuals and includes a living room, dining room, playroom, and laundry room. The organization offers support to residents through case management, life skills training, and service searches for independent living. School-age children attend school during the day, allowing parents to work, reach out to services, and engage in case management.

Hope House operates a 90-day program aimed at supporting families until they achieve independence. A significant hurdle for families is finding housing. The "Our $20 for 20 years of service campaign" intends to fund necessary services and items for families in need.
