Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center issued the following announcement.
Reiki ("ray-key") is a Japanese word for universal energy. It is a non-invasive, relaxation healing practice that works to restore the body's optimal balance. It works well as an adjunct to other therapies and for general self-care.
Reiki I starts with an introduction to the history of Reiki and ends with an understanding of how it can be incorporated into everyday life. Participants will experience a guided meditation, receive instruction regarding hand positions and techniques for the application of Reiki, and receive a Reiki attunement. At the end of class, participants will be able to practice Reiki on friends, family and for self-care.
