Senator Eric Wimberger, who represents Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district and was elected in 2025 as a Republican, has used his social media platform to discuss recent legislative efforts aimed at crime prevention and public safety.

On September 21, 2025, Wimberger stated his ongoing commitment to working with colleagues on the Judiciary Committee: "I'll continue to work with my colleagues on the Judiciary Committee to fight crime and make Wisconsin a safer place for all of us to live."

He also highlighted the introduction of Senate Bill 394, explaining its purpose and legal ramifications. According to his post from the same date: "Senate Bill 394 makes it a Class I felony to damage or graffiti any historically significant structures, statutes, or other commemorative displays that are maintained on public property by the state or any county or municipal government. Vandals have often targeted historical"

In another message posted that day, Wimberger described measures targeting human trafficking offenses: "Senate Bill 266 will set new mandatory minimums for human trafficking crimes. Under this bill, anyone charged and convicted of human trafficking will serve at least 10 years in prison, and anyone charged and convicted of trafficking a child will face 15 years in prison. Wimberger succeeded Robert Cowles as senator for Wisconsin's 2nd district following his election in 2025.
