On May 16, Senator Wimberger addressed concerns about state financial management in a post stating that "Governor Evers must follow state law and return his illegal $170 million slush fund to the state's treasury. My new bill will make him do that." He emphasized that these funds are public assets requiring appropriate oversight through legal legislative processes.

The following day, May 17, Senator Wimberger highlighted his ongoing commitment to military personnel by marking Military Appreciation Month and Armed Forces Day. In his words: "As a proud Marine, I'll always work to support my brothers and sisters in America's armed forces."

On May 18, Senator Wimberger announced the progress of legislation he authored aimed at facilitating homeownership for younger Wisconsinites. He noted that "A bill I authored to support homeownership for younger Wisconsinites passed the Senate this week." The proposed SB 84 seeks to eliminate the real estate transfer fee when property is transferred from grandparents to grandchildren, thus easing the process of passing homes within families.
