Senator Eric Wimberger, representing Wisconsin's 2nd Senate District, recently shared updates and opinions through a series of tweets. These posts cover both personal acknowledgments and state governance issues.

On May 14, 2025, Senator Wimberger extended his best wishes to an intern from his office. "Sending best wishes to another one of my office's spring interns, Jaqx!" he wrote. He described Jaqx as a University of Wisconsin-Madison student from Oneida who contributed to various constituent and policy projects during the spring semester.

The following day, on May 15, 2025, Senator Wimberger raised concerns about financial management by Governor Evers. He claimed that "Governor Evers is holding an illegal $170 million slush fund from interest collected on federal Covid funds." The senator emphasized that state law mandates the return of this money to the state treasury weekly and labeled non-compliance as a misdemeanor with personal liability for the responsible official.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, Senator Wimberger provided additional information regarding his claim against Governor Evers' handling of funds by sharing a link: "Read more here:"

Governor Tony Evers has been serving as the governor of Wisconsin since January 7, 2019.
