The Manitowoc County Historical Society and Port Sandy Bay have partnered to support local history education through a fundraiser at Pinecrest Historical Village. The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, from 4 to 8 pm. A portion of the proceeds from each order will be directed towards preserving and educating about local history.
Funds collected during the fundraiser will aid the Manitowoc County Historical Society in its operations and educational initiatives. The society is a private non-profit organization that relies entirely on membership dues, tours, fundraising events, and donations for funding.

Located in Eastern Wisconsin's Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside, the Manitowoc County Historical Society offers a living history museum experience. The 60-acre site includes a Welcome Center with exhibits and research services as well as Pinecrest Historical Village—a collection of over 25 historic buildings furnished to reflect early settler life in Manitowoc County.
Pinecrest Historical Village originated in 1970 following a land donation from Hugo and Eleanor Vetting. It has developed into a representation of an early 1900s Wisconsin community with buildings that serve as the town's commercial, social, and political hub. These structures showcase various architectural styles from Wisconsin's past. Furnishings within these buildings are either original or accurately reproduced based on careful research.
