The Lakeshore Wind Ensemble is set to present "Winds of March - the Best of the Best" on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:30 pm. The event will be conducted by Jeremiah Eis and will showcase the winners of this season’s LWEA Young Artist Competition. Additionally, the Holy Family Conservatory of Music will be honored with the Wesley Teply Community Service Award in the Arts for its century-long contribution to the arts in the Lakeshore community.

The program includes performances of John Williams’ “Summon the Heroes” and Percy Grainger’s “Children’s March.” The young artists who emerged victorious in the competition will also perform their winning pieces. Garrett Myers secured first place with “Concerto for Alto Saxophone, Mvt. I” by Paul Creston. Jase Beekhuizen took second place with “Serenade for Alto Saxophone” by Frank Bencriscutto, while Ian Koelemay won third place with “Concerto for Horn No. 1, Mvt. 1” by Richard Strauss.

Tickets are available at the Capitol Civic Centre Box Office or online at cccshows.org.
