Prevea Health has announced the addition of Dr. Michael Tapscott to its team of healthcare providers. Dr. Tapscott, who is fellowship-trained in sports medicine and family medicine, is now seeing patients at two locations: HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay and the Prevea Manitowoc Health Center.

Dr. Tapscott offers a wide range of services as a family medicine physician, providing routine care for children, adults, and the elderly. His practice includes preventive medicine, health maintenance care, and chronic disease management for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and asthma.

In his role as a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Tapscott provides non-operative orthopedic care related to sports injuries and offers fracture care, concussion management, and arthritis treatment. He also delivers advanced musculoskeletal services including ultrasound evaluation and guided procedures.

“It’s my goal to establish a relationship based on good communication from each patient and myself,” stated Dr. Tapscott. “My patients can expect a calm conversation detailing the symptoms that brought them in which will lead to educating them on what is going on.”

Dr. Tapscott received his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and completed his residency at Methodist Charlton Family Medicine Residency. He furthered his training with a fellowship at Waco Family Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Appointments with Dr. Tapscott can be made by calling (920) 272-3300 for either the Green Bay or Manitowoc location.
