The Cedar Grove-Belgium School District is launching the Books on Bikes program this summer, offering 4K-4th grade students an opportunity to receive free books and participate in a drawing for a new bike. The initiative aims to promote literacy among young students by combining physical activity with reading.

Students can attend the Books on Bikes events at Community Park in Belgium or Memorial Park in Cedar Grove. Each visit allows them to enter their name into a drawing for a new bike donated by the Cedar Grove-Belgium Student Council. The winner will be announced at the end of the summer.

The event schedule is as follows:

- Community Park-Belgium: 1:00-1:30 PM

- Memorial Park-Cedar Grove: 2:30-3:00 PM

Dates for the events are:

- June 12th, 19th, and 26th

- July 10th and 31st

- August 7th

Participants will have the chance to share their summer experiences, listen to stories, and receive a free book while supplies last. "Let’s pedal towards literacy, one book at a time," said organizers.

This program is specifically designed for students of CGB Schools. Updates will be available on the school website.
