 Healthiest Manitowoc County, the member organizations of the Youth Agency Network and Coolest Coast have collaborated to launch a new online resource: The Youth Resource Hub of Manitowoc County. The Youth Resource Hub is an online resource center and onestop-shop for youth and their families, caregivers and advocates who want a helping hand to connect with each other and/or the community. 

The Hub is organized into ten major categories including: Academic; Basic Needs; Relationships; Childcare; Diversity; Health/Dental; Mental Health; Mentoring; Parenting and Youth Activities. Within each category are links to the various organizations and businesses related to the topic with additional information, and links to their specific websites and social media channels. 

The coalition was motivated to create the Youth Resource Hub to simplify the search for youth-oriented resources and opportunities throughout Manitowoc County, from both the adult advocate perspective and the youth perspective. Resources cover the gamut from library story times to water safety to crisis intervention to diversity to academics to child care to mental health and beyond. “When the Youth Agency Network first proposed the Youth Resource Hub concept, we quickly realized that the Coolest Coast web platform with its comprehensive community resources was a natural fit,” remarked Brittany Boyer of Healthiest Manitowoc County.

 “We encourage organizations throughout the county to participate by sharing information about services offered and available resources. And then, share the Youth Resource Hub with your connections, link to it from websites and social channels.” “Recognizing the important mission of Healthiest Manitowoc County, and further recognizing that the well-being of the youth of our community is directly related to the future success of our community, Coolest Coast was pleased to collaborate to bring the Youth Resource Hub to fruition,” commented Tina Prigge, co-founder of Coolest Coast. “We encourage you to help it grow as a valuable resource by contributing.

” While the Youth Resource Hub is soft launched today, it is an ongoing work in progress. Organizations and businesses are encouraged to submit their youth-oriented content for inclusion using the “Suggest an Edit” button. Future plans include an event calendar.
