“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Nineveh” is a musical that Pastor Hoppert began to write during his sabbatical leave in 2017. The plot follows the biblical story of Jonah and is put in a contemporary setting. Featured characters are Jonah, the voice of God, the ship’s captain, sailors, the ruler of Nineveh, and a narrator, plus a background chorus. Approximate run time an hour and a quarter. A free-will offering will be received at each performance for "Project Nineveh" - Raising monies for Ukrainian refugee relief and support of the local food pantry.
