United Way Manitowoc County has announced the nominees for the inaugural Volunteer Center Impact Awards. The event aims to celebrate the achievements and contributions of volunteers in Manitowoc County across five award categories.

The list of nominees for each category includes:

– Up & Coming Volunteer Award: Max Mauer
– Volunteer of the Year Award: Laurie Becker, Mark Becker, Linda Bender, Joan Estes, Carol Gibson, Jenny Matte, Patty Peterson, Mary Rehrauer, Mary Seiler, Judy Shallue, Robert Wenger
– Volunteer Leadership Award: Laurie Becker, Dan Hassemer, Paul Kraynek, Greg Miller, Ken Walters
– Team Volunteer Award: Friends of the Two Rivers Senior Center, Gracious Givers, Greg and Marge Kraynek
– Lifetime Achievement Volunteer Award: Dave Estes, Philip Groll, Sandy Hardrath, Ollie Larsen, Kim Rooney, Mickey Veleke

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 7:15 to 9:00 am at The Inn on Maritime Bay. Tickets are priced at $20, including breakfast from Our Legacy Restaurant. Interested attendees can register on the United Way Manitowoc County website.
