Senator Eric Wimberger, a Republican representing Wisconsin's 2nd Senate district since 2025, has recently posted a series of tweets highlighting state infrastructure investments and commemorating local sports history.
On August 10, 2025, Wimberger announced details about the new state budget: "The 2025-27 State Budget will help fix roads all across Wisconsin. With $150 million invested in repairing roads used for agriculture and another $100 million helping cities and towns fix their local roadways, communities in Northeast Wisconsin will be better connected for years".
A day later, on August 11, Wimberger marked an anniversary related to Wisconsin sports: "106 years ago today, Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun organized a football team of local athletes with the sponsorship of the Indian Packing Company. Thirteen world championships later, that team remains in Titletown to this day as the Green Bay Packers. Happy birthday https://t.co/Zl2MUc0iUD".
On August 12, Wimberger shared his experience attending a practice session: "Great to join the @packers - with my mom! - for practice today. It's gonna be a great season for the Green and Gold! https://t.co/TC6CFGqnEh".
Wimberger succeeded Robert Cowles as senator for the state's 2nd district following his election in 2025.
