Senator Eric Wimberger, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district, shared updates on legislative activities and community engagement through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On October 13, 2025, Wimberger posted about a visit from local students: “Great to welcome students from @HSSD’s Howard Elementary School to the Capitol. Thanks for stopping by!”
The following day, he highlighted an event honoring emergency personnel: “The Legislature welcomed hundreds of first responders to the State Capitol today to honor police, firefighters, and EMTs from across Wisconsin. It was great to meet Ryan Pecha from Oconto Fire & Rescue and Michael Renkas from the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department and celebrate” (October 14, 2025).
Later on October 14, Wimberger announced the passage of a transportation safety bill: “During the Senate’s floor session today, my bill to enhance roadway safety for semi trucks passed with unanimous support. Senate Bill 273/Assembly Bill 271 would align state law with federal rules and allow semi trucks to use camera monitoring systems that provide real-time”.
Wimberger was elected in 2025 to the Wisconsin State Senate, succeeding Robert Cowles as the representative of the state’s 2nd Senate district.
