Senator Eric Wimberger, who represents Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district, posted several updates on his social media account in early April 2026, addressing both legislative developments and community events.
On April 5, 2026, Wimberger extended holiday greetings to his constituents, stating: “Wishing a happy Easter to everyone in Northeast Wisconsin! I hope you can spend the day celebrating with friends and family.”
The following day, he announced legislative progress regarding PFAS contamination. On April 6, 2026, he wrote: “It’s done! Our PFAS bills were signed into law today, delivering relief everywhere from French Island to Marinette and Madison to Stella. $133 million from the PFAS Trust Fund and victim protections are now the law, and will help Wisconsin communities and landowners fight PFAS.”
On April 7, 2026, Wimberger reminded residents of the state’s election schedule: “It’s Election Day, Wisconsin! The polls are open until 8 PM – find your polling location and make a plan to vote today!”
Wimberger was elected as a Republican state senator in 2025 for Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district after succeeding Robert Cowles.
