Senator Eric Wimberger, who represents Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district and was elected in 2025 as a Republican replacing Robert Cowles, recently shared updates on legislative activity and community engagement through his social media account.
On October 15, 2025, Wimberger announced the progress of new legislation: “A bill I authored with @RepBenFranklin is on its way to the Governor’s desk. Senate Bill 84 would eliminate the real estate transfer fee when a grandparent passes their home to one of their grandchildren. This simple change would help make it easier for Wisconsin families to”.
The following day, October 16, Wimberger highlighted his participation in an advocacy event at the Capitol: “Enjoyed meeting with Jennifer from Kaukauna during the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Wisconsin’s advocacy day at the Capitol. It was great to talk about ways we can work together to fight this terrible disease.”
On October 17, Wimberger addressed concerns regarding financial oversight in Milwaukee Public Schools: “DPI failed to let the public know about financial mismanagement in Milwaukee Public Schools until after voters approved $252M for the district. We ordered an audit of how DPI handles financial oversight of districts, and the results are shocking. Despite distributing $14 billion”.
Wimberger’s recent activities reflect both legislative initiatives and community outreach efforts since taking office as state senator in early 2025.
